Should we applaud super eagle for defeating the liberian counter part? Well, micro encouragement to them.

Johnnoah1st: Yes d match as been show it is going to be interesting d match is either Nigeria trashing them 6-0 or Nigeria playing 3-3 with dem and dats means Nigeria is out and if the scoreline we be Nigeria 3-3 liberia den dats means Nigeria we come from behind to draw with Liberia but if Nigeria are 2 beat dem 6-0 den Nigeria would have been up by atleast 2-0 by first 20 minute of play and i can see IK UCHE among d scorer of dat first 2 goals within dat 20 minute and if Nigeria are to qualify dey we loose dere first match in group stage and thery we win de other matches in group stage and i can see one of d B countrys in our group either Bostwana,BOKINAFASO , Benin or any other B's country. MARK MY WORDS
yes boss, i WE do just that

No substitute for being good jjare. Mikel is Good and that is just it. For a team like chelsea to keep him that means he is good. This came has shown that the standard of our league is just too bad and Kesh should have a rethink on building his team on home lads.

HONESTLY NIGERIANS WILL NEVER CEASE TO AMAZE ME. NOW WE WON AND ALMOST EVERYONE HERE IS SINGING THEIR PRAISE. IF U CHECK THE BEGINNING OF THIS THREAD YOU LL SEE THE AMOUNT OF SARCASTIC COMMENTS BEING HEAPED ON THIS SAME TEAM PRIOR TO THIS MATCH AND BEING CALLED DIFFERENT NAMES. JUST FEW WERE OPTIMISTIC. NOW EVERYONE EXCEPT MAYBE 2 OR 3 PEOPLE ARE NOW SINGING THEIR PRAISE. WE SHOULD LEARN TO LOVE OUR OWN NOT PUBLIC CONDEMNATION. SUPER EAGLES IS OUR BRAND WE SHOULD LEARN TO SUPPORT THEM WHETHER GOOD OR BAD. I LOVE THE EAGLES. GOD BLESS NIGERIA

Not so fast my broda. Yes we lost to Liberia in a friendly, you won them big, congratulations for that and welcome back to the AFCON, but do not underestimate the ability of your soccer masters GHANA. grin

When it comes to Naija vs GH, we will always carry the day, so BRING IT ON! grin grin grin

This is not just a victory, the score line was amazing. Its been long since SE scored more than 4 goals in a game.
Its a great morale booster.

But there's still some work to be done. Kudos.

bisikeys: I just pray this coach gets it right. After over a year, we still don't have a first team and we have played over 10 matches plus friendlies. Him talk say na home base players go plenty for him team but look now, na foreign based players plenty pass. I knew he was joking... Have u ever been to the training facilities of an English team? They are better and more standard than our main football pitches. U need to see the one at Camp Nou.......The day i saw it, i felt like playing soccer. Even Amodu had something going for him. He had a Plan B. Look at most of Amodu's matches, when we were down, either Kanu or Obinna come in to make the difference. But now, my coach has turned the national team to a joke. We are playing with no brand no class. We don't even have a starting formation. Compared to Siasia, i have to say we have gone backward in our football. During Siasia's time, at least we were playing some really exicting football that showed promise. Now we are just playing like secondary school children........................ May God help us. One question..... IF KESHI FAILS, WHO DO WE HIRE? embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed

Why the boohooing? Most nigerian coaches have left in controversial circumstances this would not be different ...
