EVEN THOUGH HE HIS AN OKADA MAN,NIGERIA IS FULL OF GOOD PEOPLE WITH IDEOLOGY AND INTEGRITY

A friend of mine narrated an incident that occur between herself and an Okada man in Kubwa area in Abuja some days ago.

As she narrate the story,she was full of excitement and joy was seen all over her face. She explained that,Last week Tuesday around 9:30 p.m in the night,she took an Okada from the junction to her house in Kubwa,but upon the ride,she remembered that she will be traveling very early the next morning,but hardly would she get an okada that would be out by that time to pick her up from her house to the motor park. So she decided to ask the Okada man if he could come pick her up the next morning. She asked the Okada man who happens to be an Hausa man that,would he please come as early as 5:00 a.m to pick her up to the park and he said yes,though,she was not sure he would come,but she just accepted with faith and hope he fulfill his promise.


The next morning around 5:00a.m,here comes the Okada man,pressing the horn to inform her of his arrival outside her gate,she was full of excitement even though she was not fully ready,she tidy up quickly and came out as the Okada man took her to the park.

Upon reaching the park,she thanked him for coming to pick her,but he declined her thank,saying he only came to fulfill a promise he made willingly aswell as doing his business. why thank me for coming to pay my debt he asked? A promise is said to be adebt by Prophet Mohammed.

She thanked all the same.. but to appreciate him further,she asked to know were he lives to have been able to come that early,he told her he lives in Zuba,another distant area . she was amazed how an okada man would come from that far to pick her up.In other to appreciate him, she gave him N500 instead of the normal N70 which is the normal price for the fare,but the Okada man declined to take the money,he asked her to give him N70,that is his price. She was so full with surprises,she begged the man to take the N500 as she was just giving him a gift,but he declined,he said he doesn't take such gift,if she want to give him a gift,that would be next time not when he offered her a service. In conclusion, she finally persuade him to accept N250 and he accepted and ride away.

Some people would take bribe in the name of taking gift,some would blame indiscipline,lack of ideology and integrity on poverty,some would blame the government for their bad behavior.

Dear brothers and sisters,Yes,Government is not doing well,Yes,Government is responsible for poverty and unemployment,Yes,Government is not helping,Yes Government is killing us in so many ways,But you are responsible for how your mind and brain works. You are responsible for selling your votes to Bad politicians,You are responsible for being a sycophants,you are responsible for your bad behavior,your immoral and negative ideologies. Abdul AOH
