When I saw you, I was like "Mashallah!" Then I wanted you and I was like "Inshallah!" But then I paid closer attention and I was like "Bismillah!" I got to know you and I was like "Astghfurallah!" So since I left you I was like "ALHAMDULILAAH!" I saw that on facebook and felt like hmmmn! alhamdulillah  |

I got to know you then I was like ''Astagfurullah"  Are you besseching Thee to forgive your sins for meeting someone? That's where the 'bad influence' stemmed from. Perhaps we're interpreting in different ways. |

Like u said, it is subject to interpretation. You meet someone and they end up being a nightmare,you can say astaghfirullah, I thought you were righteous,I boasted of your righteousness. Or it could simply mean you were hoping Allah forgave them. Anyways,these terms are sometimes used as exclamations or as forms of exaggeration among speakers of arabic. The literal meanings arent always the point. |
