@richo,
Okanran has a point here. You wrote and I quote: "Okanran the demented gutter washer's employer" meaning: Okanran is an employer whose employee (the gutter washer) is demented. Okanran is the subject, the subject(s) of a sentence will answer the questions, "who or what." Once we've identified the subject, the rest of the sentence tells us what the subject does/did. This part is called the predicate and it always includes the verb and the words which come after the verb, or we just break it down by identifying the object which is: demented gutter washer (to whom or for whom the action takes place). For example: demented gutter washer's employer is the predicate. Employer is a noun, employ is a verb.
The apostrophe in employer clearly shows possession and it clearly indicates that Okanran is the employer in this sentence in question and there's no way you can prove otherwise. You should have simply said "Okanran the demented gutter washer". There's strength in simplicity.

PS sorry I deviated from the topic.

ok lemmie explain this for candy

if i said okran, the demented gutter washer's employer   then i'D be refering to okran as the employer but it turns out there was no comma since i wrote okran the demented gutter washer's employer meaning that okran is a demented gutter washer and i was referring to the person who posted above as his employer (as the thread requires) and in such a case u can refer to him as okran the demented gutter washer

theres a clear cut difference between the statement without a comma and the statement with a comma

candy for instance imagine u posted before me and i was to guess ur job and i said

okran the demented gutter washer's employer it still means the same as
candy is okran the demented gutter washer's employer

ceaser the great                             okran the demented gutter washer
ceaser the great's employer           okran the demented gutter washer's employer

am young but am learned  cool cool i can't explain futher than this okran!!! if 8u still don't grab am sorry for u!!!  embarassed embarassed embarassed cry cry cry embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed
