I know amala is brown, is elubo also brown?
It's so embarrassing, I just realized I don't know/have forgotten what elubo looks like even though I always heard of it.

We have two types of Elubo, white and black, once it is prepared in a hygenic condition it is safe and not harmful.

Yam amala- a bit lightish brown not as brown as plaintain elubo.
Plaintain amala- very dark brown (the only one i tried and loved, has a nice aroma too)
some do use yam skin: the color can sometime be offish light yellow

casava elubo- pale white color
some people use what they call popo (comes from filtering pressed cassava) as elubo- comes out as pale white too but it depends.

Amala.....my best food.... give it to me with draw soup and bean soup with orisirisi snail, stockfish, very soft cow leg, goat meat etc with Malta on the rocks ( with straw in the cup) ...
