Abuja is Abuja - a landlocked city with a terrible weather.... grin

I definitely can't live in that heat but I can live in Calabar... undecided
Calabar has a better weather and serenity but you'll have to live their when you're retired except you have no plans to make money.

And why can't it have a mix of urban and semi-urban with the huge population in Nigeria and its potentials? The government can create that mix if they're serious about transformation - all they need to do is just transfer some business and commercial activities to the city... And build infrastructures there..

Calabar can become the Miami of Nigeria...

Word.
Calabar just needs the investment.

Some weeks ago, I posted a recent WEF ranking of quality of global roads in which Nigeria ranked 121st/141. For those of us who read that thread, we can make a comparison of our roads with those of just Cape Town on this thread. It is very glaring that our roads are definitely of inferior quality.

Calabar needs the investment but where will the investment come from and who will the investments serve? Even if all these things are put in place, what's the guarantee that people will not turn a serene place like Calabar into a hell hole like they did to Lagos. The reason why cities like Capetown are the way they are is because there's population control. You can't have 20 million people in a city that can only serve 5 million.
