I was told it has to be sprinkle of bean not full blown rice and bean. Ratio na like 4 : 1.

Yeah confirm garaw-garaw. Usually use bleached red oil atimes too.
The lime was use as substitute of vinegar as I heard vinegar is the main one to use. The taste was okay; in between sour and sweet.

You can't go wrong with bleached palm oil...for me it increase my craving for garau garau or fried yam with palm oil

Prepared Ji mmiri oku ( yam pepper soup) this afternoon. My husband is from Edo State and he hasn’t eaten the delicacy before. This is my first time cooking it for him. After so many explanations and assuring him he would love it, he decided to eat it. He loved it very much.
