NEM representing well.

Honeywell and UPL seems to be on a free fall.

Are we going to see a breakout for C&I Leasing?

Market down by 0.21%

Kenya Cuts Benchmark Interest Rate to 9.50%

Will the CBN also cut its rate when it holds its MPC meeting early next month?

Newbie on the investment scene

Please how does Afrinvest stack up to Morgan in terms of efficiency in online trading, brokerage fees and ease of funding and taking out your funds?

Also, i try register on Morgan and they ask me to fill my details and they will send the account opening form to me but I have not seen anything from them. Anybody experienced such??

There are positive indicators with respect to CBN quorum and next MPC meeting date announced. Also 2018 budget is soon to be signed. FPI are therefore slowing down selling which had been responsible for the bears. It had nothing to do with results.....With budget signed and MPC meeting delivering expected goodies, we might start to witness some uptrend. However, be wary of Donald Trump effect with respect to trade wars, North Korea talks, Russian interference in USA elections. The outcomes from all these should have a bearing. Don't forget anticipated USA rate hikes later this week.

They sold part of the business recently and maybe they have idle cash. I suspect maybe the Parent coy needs cash to take out of Nigeria.

..checking their 9M:2017, and they were at a loss of N651m, so i am quite surprised where this special dividend is coming from

when your average holding cost is 56k, you can sit tight and afford not to worry!

Average holding cost is less than 50kobo if you add dividends cheesy

I however have a strict policy. No single stock can constitute more than 25% of my portfolio (except GTB). Also, no sector should constitute more than 50%! To keep to the 'rule' some rebalancing must be done. So not really about fear.

I have a question for you we can all benefit from. How much of your portfolio is in stocks and how much is in bonds at any time? Plus do you always keep some cash?
