Copy all ur data in internal memory to ur computer and factory reset the phone.. This is the quickest fix i can suggest.

Note: This will wipe everything on the phone.

Pls Stanley just got dis new s2 Tmobile running gingerbread 2.3.6 nw unlock to use Nigerian Sims....can it be rooted successfully witout going bk to the network locked mode,since ders no update to ics or jellybean for d non international versions,cos even when I chk for update it says no firmware .....wud like to have little freedom on my phone if I cud NT enjoy d ics nd jelly OS....thanks

Are you kidding me?! Look for it, its somewhere in settings, if you have older firmware, under security or backup. Can't remember Gingerbread's UI.

A big thank u to all the experts here especially Stanley08,ur detailed steps made it so easy. Just upgraded to 4.1.2,its cool. I noticed the power button doesn't bring out options like before. How do u take screenshot? Cos pressing the power button turns it off. Yet to browse on it for now.

The idea of writing the steps was to make it easy. Hold power and home key at the same time for about 2 seconds...

Samsung devices are the easiest to root and install custom ROMs.... just use Google and find the appropriate ROM for your particular device number......follow the instructions and you shall be enjoying a new experience in no time

Dude! These phones are sharing the connection as Adhoc and not AccessPoint (AP) if you can connect to regular WiFi routers then you are fine.

^^^might test it with the daily later in the day, I heard it works with bis fine @100mb daily allowance.But my airtel is just fine for me now,no setting at all,just my hotspot & connects multiple devices at once.

Maybe you need busybox, i don't know.. Try installing busybox, open it and click install also, then reboot phone..
