Getting a new board often means that board is gotten from another phone. No one would sell his board if the phone hasn't got an issue. From experience those boards are often reconditioned and end up been a huge drain on battery.

I do a bit of personal repairs so I end up selling to friends when I help them fix their phones

if you're connected to a wi-fi , just go to settings > About > software updates > check for software updates

Easy solution: select "Software Updates" on the About Tab menu under Settings. This will drink your data like a camel that trekked to Lagos from Maiduguri.

Other solutions require some techie knowledge

If u r running stock rom try checking the number of rrunning tasks. Get a task killer app and configure it to kill all non-essential apps.

Problem is from the way the phone was unlocked. I'm afraid there's no way back. I've got an S3 with the same issue. Tried everything do able and it didn't work. Did u by any chance change your IMEI?

I am having problems with my Samsung galaxy s3 network after unlocking, it doesn't connect on wcdma(3g) network, it only works on gsm network and even the gsm network doesn't last the gsm network just goes off after some minutes and keeps writing searching. look forward to any positive solutions... thanks all

it has only been repaired of of charging port, though it's get hot before the repair, for the water, it fell into small water , bt rescued it, and dried it for two days, powered it on,it was misbehaving, I factory rested it, though it still get hot most time.
