In the Book of Numbers, Balak, the King of the Moabites tried to use Balaam to curse the people of Israel. The opposite happened!

Numbers 24:17
“I see him, but not here and now. I perceive him, but far in the distant future. A star will rise from Jacob; a sceptre will emerge from Israel. It will crush the foreheads of Moab’s people, cracking the skulls of the people of Sheth.”


The curse took effect in 2 Samuel 8:1-2 during the reign of King David.

Number 24:22
Balaam concluded his message by saying; “Alas, who can survive unless God has willed it?”


The word of God shall always produce fruit. It will accomplish whatever He wants it to and it will prosper everywhere He sends it. – Isaiah 55:11

It is the same God who said in Revelation 21:8, “But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshippers, and all liars – their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulphur. This is the second death.”


May this not be our portion in Jesus name – Amen!!! . However, we need to be honest by evaluating ourselves; which one of the above do we still indulge in?
Martin Luther once said “you may not be able to stop a bird from landing on your head, but it is your fault if you let it build a nest on your head.”

Matthew 24:35
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away”


Therefore, what should we aim for or do?


Revelation 21:22
“I saw no temple in the city, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb is its temple. And the city has no need of sun or moon, for the glory of God illuminates the city and the Lamb is its light. The nations will walk in its light, and the kings of the world will enter the city in all their glory. It gates will never be closed at the end of the day because there is not light there. And all the nations will bring their glory and honour into the city. Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty- but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of life”


When we choose to fully obey God and do his divine will, His light shines on/in us. Darkness has no power over us. Nothing evil is allowed to enter us. Only glory and honour is allowed. Whenever God choose to bless, because our name is written in the book of life, our blessing is automatic.

Hebrews 10:31
“It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
