IMO tho, I think the length and breath of the larger rectangle should be 12m and 7m respectively,since the path covers all the 4-sides,therefore it adds 2m to the length and the breath...
no sir..you are wrong! We are dealing wit dimension of a rectangle here and only one breadth and one length is needed to calculate the area of the rectangle

Yeah,I get you,the aforementioned "Path" covers the the smaller rectangle,right??

Soneh:
oops its 2sec tita
thanks

ok.

from trig. identities

tan2 x + 1 = sec2 x

=> put v= secx & replacing in our question above we have

=> v2 +2v -6=0

now use quadratic formula to obtain v & make your deductions

then cos2x = 1-2sin2x

put v= sinx then finish up from there ... hope it helps

or.....?

1. BC = 7 cm and AD (altitude) = 7 cm.
Area = 1/2 * BC * AD
= 1/2 * 7 * 7
= 24.5 cm^2

2. Sum of angles = (n - 2) * 180
160 * n = 180 * n - 360
360n - 160n = 360
20n = 360
n = 18
The polygon has 18 sides

3. Let P = x (principal), A = amount
But A = P + I. eqn (*)
From the question, when will A = 2x
Substituting into eqn (*):
2x = x + I, where I is the interest.
So, I = x

Also, I = PRT/100
Substituting...
x = (x * 8 * T)/100
100x = 8xT
100 = 8T
T = 100/8
T = 12.5
So, it'll take 12 and half years for the money to double.

P(at least 1 red) = 1 - P(GGG)
= 1 - (3/8 * 3/8 * 3/8 )
= 1 - 27/512
= 485/512
= 0.95

Question 1's solution is correct. The base, BC, is 7 cm. The height, AD, is 7 cm. So, area is 24.5 cm^2.

It's possible you got the question wrong.

As for teaching of polygon, I'd advice you get relevant materials online. Textbooks can be of great help too.

OK.

Polygon

Polygons are plane shapes bounded by straigjt lines. The simplest polygon is the triangle. Then we have quadrilaterals (4-sided). Then we have pentagons (5-sided) etc.

Regular Polygons

Regular polygons have equal sides and angles. Examples are equilateral triangle, square, regular pentagon, regular hexagon, regular heptagon, regular octagon, regular nonagon, and regular decagon.

Finding Sum of Angles

The formula is...
Sum of angles = (n - 2) * 180, where n is the number of sides or angles. The formula works for all polygons.

If given the exterior angle of a REGULAR polygon, then number of side equals 360/&, where & is the exterior angle.

Drniyi4u: I guess u're wrong, differenting ur Answer can never give u dx/√(12x -9x² ) back na

My Answer...

1/(12x - 9x^2) = 1/[3x(4-3x)]

Using PF...

1/[3x(4-3x)] = A/3x + B/(4-3x)

Solving for A and B...
A = B = 1/4

So, 1/3x(4-3x) = 1/12 * (1/x) + 1/4 * 1/(4-3x)

Therefore, integrand of dx/3x(4-3x) is
1/12 * ln(x) + 1/4 * ln (4-3x) + c

FuckYou: welldone.. Please sir can i get how u calculated or the procedure..

Here goes...

OP = x cm and chord PQ = x cm. Let OM be the line which bisects angle POQ and perpendicularly bisect chord PQ, meeting PQ at M.

It follows that PM = 1/2 * x (or 0.5x), since PQ = x and PM is half PQ.

So, the sine of angle POM = 0.5x/x = 0.5
Hence, angle POM = 30 degrees. So, angle formed by minor sector POQ = 2 * 30 degrees = 60 degrees.
Note that angle POQ = 2 * angle POM.

Hence, angle formed by major sector POQ = 360 - 60 = 300 degrees.
