Is the person formally educated and/or has a marketable skill? How blind is the person? Some people are considered legally blind but could still see things in front of them, albeit, faintly.

The job possibilities are endless but it depends on the skills the person has to offer. For example, he could be a lawyer, teacher, analyst, business owner, customer service etc. The former Governor of New York, David Paterson, is blind.

He shud wear dark shades and counsel pple on the field he studied at his tender age........perhaps tell dem how he became blind.

Just to mention a few. Btw, it also depends on level of training, some can be trained to do almost anything!

He can go into therapeutic massage. I 've seen a couple of Blind massage therapist in places like Malaysia and they are the best massage therapist I ve ever had cos of their good sense of touch. Dont know how that can work in Nigeria but in the western world they make a lot of money from people with Back Pain and sportsmen who need women who need deep tissue massages for muscle regeneration. I know a sports therapist as takes as much as 300 pounds for massage per hour. The touch sense in a blind person is highly developed.

I know a blind farmer.... He has a poultry farm and also fish pond...
I also knw a school counsellor who is blind. He is currently doing his Ph.D.
So I think its a matter of how old he is and also what skill he has.
Above all it is the support of pple around him that counts most...

He can be a painter like picasso, Byron etc.!!!!!!

Food taster. Don't know how lucrative it is in Africa but the food tasters over here have to be blindfolded so as not to be biased by the look of the food. He'll excel in that field.
