GEJ suppose know say na corruption be the reason. Economic reforms have no way of working in a very corrupt climate like ours.
Re: Economic Reforms Not Easy In Nigeria – Jonathan by vanstanzy(m): 7:10pm On Jan 16, 2013
take dat: Economic reforms are not easy because of the poor quality of leadership and our socio-political environment complicates the process of national development. The depravity of government makes them disoriented by churning out absurd policies and reforms without political will to see it through. A country that is still on zero industrialisation, double digit inflation rate, high interest rate, N6trillion debt and more borrowings to come, infrastructural deficit, massive corruption, failed political class, high unemployment rate and insecurity will NEVER achieve any sustainable development in the long run!

GBAM!!! U mean CORRUPTION is the reason.

bory09: It seems nothing göod easy to accomplish in nigeria.
First when it comes to exam, most especially jamb,neco and waec: its always hell for the truthful student while it is as easy as 123 for the runs student.
You will see your co fellow shop owner getting higher than you all because he do sharp runs that you do not do which makes you work like a machine.
You will see your fellow colleague getting promotion everyday by day even without promotion he is getting more richer than you. Not that you don't work harder than him but because he is doing some cunning things to intensify his money growth. Even businessmen of the same business type have different success even if the most efficient does not get more successful than the lazy one. That is the simple way to define nigeria with its corruption its always easy for our government to embezzle money and its hard for them to deliver the mandate given to them. Nigeria is not running democracy but corruptcracy and it won't be a realistic to expect a man to transform this within four years.
About three days ago, we held our local security meeting. The task force chairman was asked to leave because he was unable to give account of money he and his team of three boys collected.. In other words, about N70,000 was mismanaged. A prof. in the same community and his wife was seriously supporting that the task force should be allowed to continue the job. It was later, we discovered that the prof. and the task force member are from the same community. You can look at this small community of less than eighty people suffering from corruption. So, who therefore, saying it is simple to transform this country for even the next twenty years?

Economic Reforms are not easy , indeed, because:

1. We do not prosecute our corrupt government officials;
2. Government pays lip service to corruption issues;
3. There is selective economic justice in the land;
4. We have square pegs in round holes. Wonder why Sanusi has not been deployed to National Orientation Agency;
5. Thieves seize power by ballot snatching and nothing is done about it.;
6. Many of our agencies and government economic institutions are simply draipipes.
7 The President lacks the will power to step on those cancerous toes ravaging the nation;

Who told him before he got to Aso Rock that governance is easy? Enjoying being the president is easy but turning the economy around is not easy for GEJ.

MR PRESIDENT, IT WAZ A VERY BIG SHAME ON UR ADMINISRATION, AND, ON UR OWN PART TOO AS A PRESIDENT OF A WHOLE NATION LIKE NIGERIA.AND, WHAT DO U MEAN BY SAYING THAT D ECONOMY REFORMS ARE NOT EASY TO REFORM IN A COUNTRY LIKE NIGERIA.SO, WHY DID U ACCEPT D JOB IN D FIRST PLACE,WHEN U RIGHTFULLY KNOW THAT D TASK AHEAD OF U, 'ILL BE SO MUCH 4 U TOO BEAR.YET U ACCEPTED IN TAKING UP D JOB,ALSO, MR PRESIDENT, WITH THIS KIND OF STATEMENT,HOW DO U INTEND TO CONVINCE D INVESTORS TO COME TO NIGERIA, AND, INVEST. WITH, BOKO HARAM ON ONE SIDE AND CORRUPTION AT D HIGHIEST LEVEL OF UR OWN GOVT. NOW, HOW DO U DEAL WITH THAT MR PRESIDENT,INSTEAD, U RESOLVING D SITUATION AT HOME FIRST, U PREFER TAKING US TO MALI TO JOIN ORDER COUNTRIES IN RESOLVING MALI PROBLEMS FIRST. RATHER THAN SOLVING URS.BUT, TO ME IT'S NOT WHAT U SAY, IT'S WHAT U CAN PROVE PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN.
