Cold faya: Dats d white mentality 4 u;simplicity. Don't expect such from a Nigerian of such timber, wood, plastic, metal n calibre. Well its a choice sha so no biggie. I don't know why whenever some people read such news, they automatically switch on their low self esteem inferiority complex and downgrade their own kind. It's not good o. What makes you think that similarly highly placed Nigerians don't do what Sergey Brin did? |

even if a nigerian wanted to ride the pub trans its just too uncomfortable.4 ppl squeezed into a sit for three, the space btw sits so small your knees hurt wen u get down etc. Mannerless drivers, rowdy agberos, dirty parks and so on complete the turn off. However, theres no denying it this black nation of ours is a cesspool of pride. Stinking pride. Once some skin has gotten media attention they bgn to regard themselves as more than human, add the nigerian tendency to snivel and worship ppl (some churchy ppl think their GO na God.blind obedience) and u gat a case on hand. This folks will die get eaten by worms and rot like some hapless vegetation and be forgotten a decade later yet in their life time dudes were on high minded a-hole. |

But I thought the great ol US of A was the birth place of the stretch limo, the mighty Packards and boy just look at Obama's Lincoln. I understand that thing can soak up 100 pounds of TNT. C'mon fellas, this guy is a tech billionaire. The street is his jungle. The day he manufactures drones, pharmaceuticals or semi-conductors is the day the FBI will take him off the streets. Its not just about who you are and what you do for a living but how strategic is your well-being. Like during the subsidy debate, I asked the question, could Nigeria afford to take the cabal out. Can you afford a Dangote or Adenuga incident. Look at what happened to the banking sector when Sanusi swept through. Ifeanyi Uba caused fuel scarcity for weeks while he battled AIK. If Sergy Brin gets mugged what is the impact compared to our few, far between and ultimately more strategic big men operating in a worse jungle. Yes, the blackman is full of useless pride but that's not the whole story. |

Re: Google Billionaire Seen Riding On New York City Subway by Wallie(m): 4:27pm On Jan 26, 2013 |
AjanleKoko: ^^^ Yep, Mayors get police escort. The truth is that unrecognized billionaires are the only ones that can walk freely in any crowd in a large city. Jay-Z took the subway recently and you should see the commotion he caused but he also had two stern looking NYPD-type bodyguards with him. On thing you should note in the picture is that he's standing just like a common man. |

AjanleKoko: ^^^ Stephen Harper walks his kids to school every morning and of-course with aides too .... The point of this thread is ; how many influential/ Top Nigerians can do the same in their home soil ? |

Wallie: There's no such thing as ^^^ ... everybody wants their names in Forbes whether they feign it or not....you may be hearing his name for the first time maybe. Jayz is a celebrity... so it's different... if you bring this yahooze guy ( what's his name?) to my town here... you'll see all Nigerian university students squirming all over him too. |

maninmood: Before you start glorifying that white mogul, have a deep comprehension of the piece posted by the OP- he is undoubtedly undergoing a research experiment, and probably that wass the best environment( dependent variable) for him to perform such experiment in order to get a better result of his 'invention'.Experiment or no experiment. dude, the guy has like a 1000 people that can do that for him. Do you think someone like mike adenuga would do the same? |

jidegirl12: Well . . . it does happen. Not sure if you're expecting Fashola to ride a BRT with commuters; he doesn't have to. But I run into him driving around all the time with only one cop in the front seat. We had a gig in my estate, one of my neighbours who knows Tony Elumelu invited him, and he showed up. Drove himself with no aides, sat with the regular guys, gisted about politics and stuff he was involved in, ate and drank freely, etc. |
