No One Can Deprive Us Of Presidency In 2015 – Ndigbo by horlatunde(m): 1:11pm On Jan 28, 2013
Igbo socio-
cultural
organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo
weekend warned that any attempt
to deprive South East geopolitical
zone of its only opportunity to rule
after Jonathan’s tenure as president
would be resisted, saying that it is
high time the Igbo nation ruled
Nigeria.
This came following a recent
statement by the former Governor of
old Anambra State, Dr.
Chukwuemeka Ezeife, who insisted
that it was the turn of Ndigbo to
produce the president of country
come 2015, urging the people to work
hard to make the dream a reality.
Addressing newsmen at a press
briefing in Lagos, the newly elected
National Secretary of Ohanaeze
Ndigbo, Prince Osita Oganah, declared
that Igbo Presidency was not
negotiable and, therefore, called on
the Igbos to begin to make
preparations ahead of 2015.
He said: “As soon as
President Goodluck Jonathan leaves
office, be it 2015 or 2019, it is the turn
of Ndigbo to take over power. Every
part of the region has had its slot in
government except the South East. It
is only fair to ensure a level playing
field for all regions.
“After the South East might have
had its slot at the Presidency, we can
then begin to vote on merit. It is
unfortunate that politics in Nigeria is
run on tribal tripod. However, since
that is the exigency of the moment,
there is nothing we can do but to get
our share for the sake of justice and
equity. For the Igbo, we must sit
down and organise ourselves to
know who will represent us.”
While calling on aggrieved members
of the group who might have been
provoked by actions of the group’s
past leaderships to forget about the
past for the common interest of the
Igbo’s and support the newly elected
Chief Garry Igariwey- led executives,
Osita urged them to get ready for the
big task ahead.

No tribe in Nigeria has a leader. Who is the leader of yorubas? Who is the leader of hausa/fulani?

Continue to rant inconsistently... today you support gej 2015 agenda, tomorrow you want Igbo presidency in 2015. Whats the problem? What exactly is the driving force behind this changing tune? Money again? When gej brings money, it must be gej in 2015. When Kalu brings, the tune changes immediately to Igbo presidency.

Igbos, you need to have a leader first before talking about presidency - a reliable leader of course, not those chop chop ezes and politicians.

Sharrap there! Is Ngige not an AC.N senator from SE, an Igbo, and a member of the AC.N merger committee?

Why can't the he run as the flag bearer of the mega party with ribadu as his running mate? Or is he also a mediocre by your reckoning?
Re: No One Can Deprive Us Of Presidency In 2015 – Ndigbo by truth4meal(m): 5:02pm On Jan 29, 2013
The word deprive is misused in this statement as it is clear that no one is depriving the Igbos a chance to lead the country - except that they themselves has distanced themselves from contention. no thanks to the fake leaders who sell Igbo chance for corrupt nairas. Another question which is begging for answer is who is that Igboman that Nigeria can trust and who can gather votes from south and North? i think the problem is the candidate - who?

it shows u the disunity of the so called igbo leader. Anyway igbos don't have leaders, just people who have their selfish interest in mind..

It may take a long time before an Iboman become the president of Nigeria because of their greed and selfishness among Igbo notable leaders

Trying to feed off another man's sweat?? ACN built it from the ground-up from 0, now they are working hard to see if they can build a bridge to other parts of the country to at least try and give the country an alternative. What is ibos focus in all this: Let them North, West, Middle Belt, South South all build but then let the ibo man who was instrumental to the current scourge of bad leadership of Nigeria today EAT FROM WHERE HE NEITHER PLANTED or LABOURED! Why? Let Ngigie keep doing his work and keep helping the party in his own little way, he does not have to contest for presidency because he is in ACN. If he does well, he will be supported to contest for governor of Anambra and if he wins and performs excellently like Fashola and some other governors are doing now; EVERY PART OF NIGERIA WILL VOTE HIM IN!

That statement is senseless indeed. These Igbo leaders are senseless, shameless and hopeless, and lack dignity. When GEJ said there was nothing like power rotation, they were the first to back him up,nd now they are saying igbo presidency is "do or die" based on power rotation, even if the canditate were a criminal from kirikiri prison? An average Igbo man hates the Yorubas, ridicule the northerners, and still want the presidency to be conceded to them. Its just a pity! They sit take ogogoro nd kolanut then come out to spit rubbish. MtCHeeeeeeeeeWW!

He cant run because the sitting president is goodluck azikwe ebele ojokwu jonathan. It will be unfair to have another azikwe immediately after him. Dont you think so?
