I once stayed with a catholic family, and i truely saw Christ in their lives. They prayed directly to God through Christ, nt through an intercessor, there was alot of love in that home.

I assure you that every single faithful Catholic family on earth pray both directly to Jesus - Holy Spirit - God the Father, and through the intercession of Mary and the Saints...including that family you are talking about. So if you saw Christ in their lives, it wasn't because they didn't pray through Mary and the Saints, it was INSPITE and probably BECAUSE they prayed through Mary and the Saints, in addition to praying directly to the Holy Trinity.

The Catholic Church does not tell Catholics that they have tickets to heaven just because they are Catholic. It is protestants that do that when they say "Just accept Jesus and you have salvation." The Catholic Church tells Catholics that they are saved at baptism, but they can lose their salvation if they don't persevere in faith and good works throughout their lives. What gives you a ticket to heaven or hell is what you do with the truths that the Catholic Church has revealed to you. Do you accept them and live in accordance with them or do you reject them and live contrary to them?

The Bible was not "compiled" by the [Roman] Catholic Church.

The Bible was "compiled" well before the 4th century by Christians who were mostly NOT Roman Catholics e.g. Origen.

The connection of the 4th century is because of the action of a regional and African synod which approved some books. The people at that synod were not Roman Catholics. That synod did not represent the Roman Catholic Church.

The Bible of the Roman Catholic Church itself was not finalised nor its own canon extablished till as recent as the 16th century at the Council of Trent. It is in fact and content different from the 4th century African selection.

^^^ The apocrypha are not of the devil necessarily; it is just that Christians are divided on whether to have them or not. Some other Christian denominations which are not Roman Catholics still have them.

Interestingly even the King James Bible always had the apocrypha and they were only removed by some denominations much later.

Meanwhile if the Roman Catholics tell you that their "pope" is infallible or that the words of their "church" are the words of God, ask them about the following statement by their church and one of their "infallible" popes.
