Europeans used to marry many wives too, check history.
Going about with little or no clothes should never be seen as our culture!
Even in the days of Adam, they knew nothing when they were naked but when their eyes of
understanding were enlightened, they
made something to cover themselves up. These are all different levels/stages of development.

If europeans practiced polygamy, it must have been hundreds of thousands of years back ( if there were humans at that time), not within living memory.

Even the roman empire didnt practice it, not sure about the greeks but i doubt they did either.

Poster, can you back up your claim with references?

OP,whats the point with trying to tie polygamy with Europeans?Would polygamy be suddenly better, more appealing IF its heard/proved that Europeans at one time or the other practiced it?
Polygamy is an African thing,we don't need no European influence or lack of thereof to justify that.

I put up a post sometime ago; "Calabar Carnival no longer about Promoting Our Culture", a lot of people tried to tie polygamy to Africa. I remember watching on tv, less than a decade ago, about a white guy married to 16 wives so I decided to talk about it. "Between 150,000 and 400,000 people live in polygamous households in France, in which a man is married to more than one woman. The French state is trying to change the situation -- with mixed results." I think you should also check this out yourelf.
