aribisala0: How old is he now
not just Yekini but that whole squad were exceptional. How many from this team 2013 would have have made the 94 squad to bench the likes of Okechukwu,Yekini,Oliseh,Finidi,Amunike,Amokachi,Okocha. I do not see Mikel making that squad

You talk out of sense, why will you compare those generation wit our current one. Its like comparing Pele wit Messi grow up dude

You all talk about yekini as if you saw him play football during his entire playing career.

So? I hope you are from his home town, because soon, someone from his home town would appear, and wouldn't want to share him with other imolites. And then someone from his kindred would appear, and wouldn't want to share him with the whole of his town people.

And finally, his immediate family members will appear, and knock every 'claimers' off. *hahaha*

You disappointed me with ur comment, even Messi,Ronaldo and co score goals wit deflections, moreover it was only one deflection so why (s) you must have hated him so much. Guy go hug transformer ok. Bad belle... Ode

you're a tool!
you must have been living under a rock when yekini represented nigeria in football tournaments. in the present squad, only victor moses could have gate-crashed the tunisia '94 squad and i said that with a dose of doubt! call your uncle to give you the tape of the tunisia 94 semis between nigeria and ivory coast. you won't see a better quality of attacking football from both teams in an african tournament till the day you die!

emenike? who would he bench? yekini? amokachi or siasia?
who would musa bench? finidi? mikel obi won't even get on the bench let alone make the squad. like i have said, compare emenike to chrisantus, agali, agahowa and keshinro before mentioning the legends like siasia, yekini and amokachi.

This debate reminds me of the Prince of Monaco and former African Footballer of the Year, Victor Ikpeba.

Jurgen Klinsmann, who played at Monaco, took one look at the Nigerian squad and declared that Nigeria must be very good if someone of Ikpeba's quality was on the bench.

Ikpeba thought Westerhof hated him. He wanted to play in the centr
e-forward position and wanted to start games. Westerhof used him as a sub on the left wing.

I thought about it, who would Ikpeba bench, Yekini or Amunike? Impossible!

Emenike needs a few more years before we can even consider him as an heir to Yekini.
