The photo, which appears on the page “Laughing so hard you feel a six pack coming on,” has caused a maelstrom of controversy, leading to a petition being created on Change.org demanding that Facebook remove the offensive image. To date, the photo has 335 comments, 2,958 ‘Likes,’ and 237 shares. Facebook has a policy implemented not to allow hate speech on the forum — apparently, portraying Black children as monkeys does not qualify. |
