For years now, the catholic church have been facing various scandals. One of these is the homosexuality of its spiritual leaders. The solution I fink is to make an eunuch out of 'em. In doing ds thr'll b no sexual urge. Hence, no sexual urge, no homosexualism.

Making them eunuchs isnt goin to fulfil the celibate part, the reason why they cannot allow them to be eunuchs is that they wont be able to feel what it is like to be celibate or deprived of intimacy. Also they do not admit impotent men, you have to be sound health wise

It's not that homosexuality doesn't take place in other churches but it is more rampant and publicized in the catholic church main reason because it's the biggest church in the world

i think the question should be asked, if the high number of males who have decided to never marry [a lot of them on nl], shouldnt consider entering the priesthood.

since they've already made up their minds to stay single anyway?

it isnt more rampard. Its just that catholic sex scandal makes more news than protestants. Catholic priests are expected to be virgens, ...pentecostal sex scandal is viewed as a normal thing

Some people should be banned from public forum for their raw ignorance. I have never seen one single priest that said he was/is being forced to be celibate. It's like saying that a footballer is forced to kick the ball. It takes an average of 15 years to become a priest from secondary school. All through this period, the would be priest is aware of what the requirements are ; chastity , poverty and obedience ,and you are allowed to leave the seminary at any time if you think that it is not your call. Even as a priest you can still leave the priesthood if you so wish. So your claim doesn't hold water and very laughable too.

I know a number of men and women who spent year s in the seminary, monastery and convent and left because religious life is not their vocation. Most of them are married with kids now. My point is that not one single man or woman is forced to be celibate, you have to be celibate before you become a priest and not the other way round.
