The uproar that greeted a statement credited to the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, that it would hire a foreign Technical Adviser for the Super Eagles may have compelled the officials to have a re-think.
Speaking in an interview with journalists, an executive committee member of the football body, Chris Green denied the plans, saying the body has no intention of doing so.

According to him, the NFF will give Coach Stephen Keshi the necessary support he needs to continue to achieve better results for the country.

Green stressed that the football body will capitalize on the success of the national team at the just concluded AFCON 2013, and work towards making Nigerian soccer a global brand.
