ogugua88:I am sure Harrod will be having a laugh after reading your post! I ask you, name the positives of Kim's presence in Nigeria! At least we saw what the twin tennis stars did during their visit which was well publicised and very much received by many as the right thing to do. Please name the positive.. I am waiting.. |

all4naija: Oh! Please!. Everybody can't be NASA engineer and everybody can be like you. Your view to life is very skewed in the sense that you are thinking of your very perception of morality is the best way for everybody forgetting that humans are free moral animals. That alone proves you need to get out of your little box and let people be who they want to be. And, you don't have any right to judge Kim Kardashian on moral ground. She's invited to Nigeria for a purpose and if you don't like that you can cry least I care.I never said every body will become NASA engineer, did I? I only gave you an example on what impact having great minds in the field of science, engineering and technology can have on our teeming youths. Why would you care about science when you have always lived a life of spoon to the mouth and hands to air Why will you? It is obvious that many of you live the life of keeping on with the jones' else you would ask yourself rightly, what is there to celebrate if someone hasn't had a positive impact on humanity |

Omo_Tier1: Exactly. Nigerians shouldn't be carried away by what the rest of the world is doing. Why? Because presently the nation is in a more precarious solution than the rest of the advanced nations they look up to, even in their worst moments. The youths of Nigeria live off entertainment, that is all that exists in the worldview of most of them. A nation that is serious about growing must breed more academic-minded people for a start, other things can come later. Kim Kardashian can in now way be a model for any proper thinking person, she is just an entertainer (especially one with nothing substantive to give). The real rulers of the world are not entertainers, and they these entertainers just serve purposes of entertaining them. Well it is always said, everything comes down to choices. "WHAT DO YOU CHOOSE" is the question. |

Omo_Tier1:She is famous. Her presence can mean a lot. It can not be denied in the world of fame and celebrity that she good pull of fashion and subsequence. That will put Nigeria on a spotlight that we are not all about BOKO HARAM, bad images and the country is safe for foreigners. If you know the power Kim commands around the world when it comes to fashion you wouldn't be mesmerizing like a child here. 1 Like |

You are taking the whole topic out of the ordinary already. I am a young aspiring scientist yet I like KIM determination to life. I am not here to disclose my identity and what I become of it is my own cup of tea. Let accept her for what she is called to do in Nigeria.PERIOD! |

For someone who boasts of living in the financial capital of the world, you should realize the financial gains Eko Hotel and neighboring businesses will be making from her presence. You don't like her but you've parked yourself in this thread, responding to several comments that disagree with your personal views. The hypocrisy is too much.[/size] |

Omo_Tier1:Oh, comeon! Please! You are only begging the question with this comment. How does KIM present welcoming in Nigeria at this point in time mean anything? I don't see anything bad about it than you taking it out of the ordinary. Nigeria is ruined not actually subjective to social life like the KIM. It is largely a thing of corruption and mentality of many Nigerians to development and getting organized. Kim is preventing nobody from being what he or she wants to be. She is not doing anything wrong to the image of the country rather projecting the image at this terrorists incursion troubles in the Nigeria to the world that the country is safe. |

It is largely a thing of corruption and mentality of many Nigerians to development and getting organized. Is this not what I am actually implying? If you do not see a trend between what our youths truly need today to put Nigeria where she should be in the world affairs, then I really can't help you. I gave an sample earlier, UK authorities spotted a trend of US mega artist bringing their gangster life style and songs to influence UK youth, the noticed how increasingly they were moving down in droves to do shows here, and how their image wasn't of any value to what the UK stands for, they sent Snoop packing, did the same to Jay-z and the word got out! You see, Nigeria does not know what she stands for so anything is acceptable to her and her people.... |

Omo_Tier1:No! You are trying to make it look as if I agreed with you. Trending doesn't prevent anybody from not being part of moving the society forward. Encouraging Science by inviting famous scientists to the country and bringing celebrities are mutually acceptable in all ramifications. They have their various parts to place in our society. There is no doubt both have advantages and disadvantages. Another, it proves Nigerians scientists are not doing anything to take the same determination celebrities are taking in promoting the nation. Blame that on the academia not KIM. Yet the UK hip hop is getting bigger and bigger and impact the world. It is clear the opening ceremonies of the Olympic 2012 showcase many things about the gangster you are playing down on. The truth is that you have no argument here. |
