I am amazed by the level of Ghanian President's command of the Hausa language. Here (link) he can be seen with a BBC correspondent who interviews him in English, while the President replies back in Hausa. The interview was about the situation in Mali, and was meant for his Hausa speaking audience in west Africa. It was presented by BBC Hausa news channel.
