PROF AKINKUGBE MEDICAL
STUDENTS’ QUIZ, DOKITA Inter Collegiate Quiz Competition is the battle ground where the Medical Schools in Nigeria meet to display who is who and where is where in medical studies and sundry intellectual matters.
This year's edition (the 7th) which was hosted by Onabisi Onabanjo University had the Unilorin medics triumph over their counterparts from OAU in the finals after a fierce and tensed battle. The Unilorin medics hitherto won Uniben and Bingham University in tough semifinal and quarterfinal tussles respectively.
The schools that competed are;
OOU (sagamu)
UNIBEN (benin)
ESU (enugu)
Lautech (ogbomosho)
BinghamMedicalSchool (jos)
OAU (ife)
UNILAG (lag)
UniIlorin (ilorin)
BUK (kano)
UI (ibadan)
LASU (lagos)
UsmanDanfodio (sokoto).

In other news, Congrats to Bibilari Bisoye the ILUMSA President elect and thumbs up to Benard Fatoye for a great fight and spirit.

OAU never even neared the finals in previous editions, UI won the 4th edition, unilorin won the 5th and OOU the 6th.
The more OAU tries to win, the more they try again ......the trophy will atrophy b4 any of their student touches it.

so nice to see Nairaland promote something intellectual...and its nice to see Dokita editorial board making waves, wishing Dokita more grease to their elbow as they strive to promote medical education and excellence in the medical schools. I hope many of the great brains will remain in the country to promote health care

this is the problem with likes of Terry G winning awards...our youths don't know that Terry can't save a life with that noise and here is an organisation trying to promote medical education, but the rot in the society makes people like you numb to a drive for excellence, especially in an important field like medicine, who knows, one of the winners may one day be your doctor
