Zenith Bank To Reward Shareholders With 1.50 Naira

Reliable insider information has revealed that Zenith Bank Plc would reward its shareholders with N1.50 dividend for the year ending December 2012.

This is due to an impressive performance in 2012. Zenith Bank had in the nine-month ended September 30, 2012, given indication of a bounteous harvest with impressive results. The bank ended the nine months with profit before tax of N75 billion and profit after tax of N64 billion.

"The board of the bank has met, looked at the results and has made their dividend recommendation. And where are the profits coming from? Loans to oil marketers? Investments in Federal Government treasury bills? Shylock interest rates on loans? Excessive COT charges?

Let them tell me how much they have lent to small businesses and how many of such businesses they have helped grow. Until then, I'm not impressed.

How are you sure GTB will beat Zenith with bonus and dividend? Afterall GTB did not give bonus last year. I dont see GTB doing better than that. And I dont see any of the big banks giving bonus this year. Access is likely going to do very well in terms of dividend this year

That's an impressive result for them, but worthy of note is they are one of the poorest paid bank, their staffs are crying daily, the bank is so conservative, some power that be are in control of the bank especially Jim ovia's brothers from delta. From the last rating they are the 8th paying bank. The bank is about declaring N100 billion after tax result. Please the bank is not trying as regards to staff welfare, so poor

I think it is only an inside information if u use d information to make profit, but I doubt anyone can be prosecuted 4 inside information, becos NL is a public forum.

The workers can equally buy shares in the bank, shareholders and market operators are happy when management reduces cost.
