Spiritual Leader of One Love Family, Sat Guru Maharaj Ji, yesterday expressed his intention to organise a civic reception for the Super Eagles for their victory at the 29th Africa Cup of Nations held in South Africa.

Maharaj Ji, who stated this while speaking with journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, also made a strong case for insurance covers for all footballers in Nigeria, saying that this is highly desirable to further encourage the players to put in their best at all engagements.

“It is high time we did everything possible to ensure that footballers in Nigeria are not made to suffer unduly any longer,” he said. He emphasised the need for the Eagles to continue winning laurels with particular focus on the forthcoming Confederation Cup billed for June this year and the 2014 World Cup scheduled to hold in Brazil.

He then charged sports authorities in the country to discountenance the agitations from some quarters that foreign coaches be appointed to manage the affairs of the Super Eagles, stressing that all issues of divisive tendencies should be jettisoned forthwith.

He added, “Whoever is talking of foreign coach for Nigeria’s Super Eagles must be a Boko Haram because charity begins at home.”
