Pls say what u're sure of. Staff & staff relatives NEVER take part in any Promo(4fairness sake) & dat u don't watch TV doesn't mean things dnt happen.
However, CBN is a regulatory body 4 Financial institutions & no promo starts witout approval 4rm National Lottery Commission.

Can a bank really incentivize patronage by offering such promos?
If you pick a bank with a fairly poor customer service and minimal or poor Internet banking support, promos can creat a buzz but would not significantly affect their year end reports.

Promos may appeal to the emotions of the average man but a real buoyant investor would count on more to move bank funds.

Fidelity offers 4.5% on 1mill while GTBank offers 7.5% and Access Bank ,6.5%
I would have thought GTBank would offer a lower rate as they have a better credit profile but hey even Einstein was wrong on some things

R u sure u are comparing for same duration? I don't know for fixed deposit, bt when it comes to anything fx,Fidelity is No1. When it comes to savings deposit rate no 1.

As for the promo, its just to encourage people to save money. According to recent statistics, Nigeria has a lot of unbanked and you need things like this to attract them. You will be shocked if you know the amount of money being locked in shops in the market, and by chance, if there is fire outbreak, they return to level zero. No one is forcing you to paticipate in the promo. You cannot lose anything by participating, you are paid interest on the saved amount, and you could also be a lucky winner. Your money is intact.

I hope the people doing d bad mouth r nt d people dt were recently sacked. As far as where you work is not ur own, one day, u will either be sacked, leave or retire. Start something today. Dangote started from somewhere as well as Bill gates.

My dear, don't compare the two promo's.
In mtn promo, u must buy and use the recharge card to participate. At the end, if u no win, u r on ur own. But wit Fidelity promo, money wey u for blow for Nkwobi joint, wit plenty Odeku. You drink small Odeku, carry d remaining put 4 bank. If u no win. U no lose. Ur money dey intact, plus interest if e don stay reach 3 months. E vex u too much say u no win- abeg, make una give me my money. You come winkwanu? Na plenty Azonto and Alingo we go dance.

In all my short stay in this world, I have never seen a bank as useless as Fidelity. This is not the fora to express my grievance so I'll sheath my sword. But for the sake of this topic I'll just ask you a simple question: Can a bank which cannot afford to profile ur account with your email address for you to receive monthly statement of account (even though they charge you for the service every month) give you a bicycle? Use ya head my fellow human being.

And when it comes to customer service or giving customers value for their money, where do you rate them? I have never worked for Fidelity and I pray they never call me to. I have banked with them for almost six months, which has turned out to be the worst ever banking experience I've ever had! They are never true to their words, they should just rebrand and let their customers choose a name for them or (better still) use Infidelity Bank Plc. Mofos!
