Nice topic, OP. I have to add this too: Using abbreviations or short codes in application letters or CVs is very wrong too, and it can put off recruiters. Eg, av, aw, U instead of you, urs sincerely instead of yours sincerely, Ur organisation instead of your organisation, FYI, Thanx, "am applying for the post of" instead of "I am..." |

pellegrini1989: Truth be told, I got sick of all the shyt in Nigeria and decided to leave after fighting battles with myself on if to stay or leave. I chose the latter. I got tired of seeing people begging me for money in RCCG camp (with sick babies in their arms) where that is supposed to be a camp of refuge. I got tired of seeing graduates with dejected looks on their faces in Lagos because they couldn't find a job after years of graduating from school. I got sick of toasting girls who agree in an instant because they have seen someone who would take care of their every need because of poverty. I got tired of opening newspapers and seeing the same old thieves robbing Nigeria of billion on a regular basis and nobody could do shyt about it. I got tired of seeing dead bodies piling up in the North because some greedy fvckers thought naija was their family property. I got sick of all the meaningless shyt that naija throws at me daily. So I left. |
