mayorall: Whats the percentage composition of oxygen in K2Cr2O7?
Cr =52
k = 39
0 = 16

A.14.20
B.26.53
C.38.09
D.35.37
Cr=52x2=104 , K=39x2=78 ,O=16x7=112 so Rmm=112+78+104=294 %comp.=mass of element / RMM of compound x 100 , 112x100/294=38.09g

Limestone----CaCO3 , Eqn of rxn ----
CaCO3---->CaO+CO2 (decomposition rxn)
1mol of CaCO3 yields 56grms of CaO then 5.6grms of CaO=y moles of CaCO3 so, 56y=5.6g ,Y=0.10moles option (B)

Nice one....
FORMULA METHOD
CaCO3 ==> CaO + Co2
using

moles = mass given/molar mass

moles = 5.6/CaO (40 + 16)

moles = 5.6/56

moles = 0.10mol.....
