Good course and its not just limited to teaching. Its jot an edu course its PURE and APPLIED you can google job opportunities for the profession and u will be surprised. Though you can still cross in 200l that's if uve not fallen inlove with the course already

hey bro nothing do u jawe!...don't feel antsy because u were given Mathematics or any course that is outside the perimeter of ur choice, av u took time to check the numbers of fellow students whom u and them chose LAUTECH and their admission fate later hit the wall, instead, u should be grateful that u've just emancipated from the admission rat race!....Secondly, on the issue of Job opportunity of a thing, speaking from my little experience about Labour Market and life in general, i think getting employment in Nigeria per se is mostly all about ''who you know and not just what you know''-stay connected!!!! Plenty Engrs with good grades still roam the streets...and one of the lessons i learnt from school of thought is ''being Successful in life is a CHOICE''!!!...my two cent advice is if u have the passion for this course i will beseech u to carry on with ur admission process, and if at all reverse is the case u still stand the chance of crossing to choiced dept when you get to 200L-provided u meet up with their CGPA cut-off mark!...Jump into this boat of opportunity and sail to your destiny!
Note; i'm once a mathematics student (back then During 100Level days) before i crossed to Faculty of Management Science, and for once i never regret staying in Mth Dept!!!!
