Poverty stricken
Heavy laden
Literally saddened
Forsaken

No place to rest
Few clothes to wear
More cold to bear
Betrayed

Sentenced unjustly
Beaten brutally
Crucified unfairly
Rejected

Blood gushing
Water escaping
Sweats drippng
Maltreated

KILL FLESH LORD

Kill my flesh until there is nothing left but christ
Exterminate the ‘I can do it’ and put it to flight
Tired is what I am of depending on my ability
Self tells me always that I have the capability
Oh but deep within me my spirit says no no
I can not do it by my might is what i do know
There is still that hidden fake confidence in there
Openly I come I come to you Lord, do care
Kill this devilish desire of the Adamic, human nature
Execute the cruel body, in christ I want to be mature
Break my sinful desires of lust and dangerous passion
Oh Lord see it moving to destroy my heavenly passion
Lord see the flesh making my thoughts of you few
I want to do those things that’ll make my spirit anew
Oh Lord flesh is saying no to your righteousness
Oh kill it and make me an embodement of holiness

Good morning Alfa Sheltzer. This poem is the outcry of a being who wants to leave the passions of the flesh and ask the Lord to take over , to dominate and destroy its lusts and sinful wants. 'kill and exterminate my fleshly passions and lust for sin', is my prayer too. How are you doing? Happy to have someone around.
