North Korea on Thursday vowed to launch a pre-emptive nuclear strike against the United States, amplifying its threatening rhetoric hours ahead of a vote by U.N. diplomats on whether to level new sanctions against Pyongyang for its recent nuclear test.

An unidentified spokesman for Pyongyang's Foreign Ministry said the North will exercise its right for "pre-emptive nuclear strikes on the headquarters of the aggressors" because Washington is pushing to start a nuclear war against the North.

Although North Korea boasts of nuclear bombs and pre-emptive strikes, it is not thought to have mastered the ability to produce a warhead small enough to put on a missile capable of reaching the U.S. It is believed to have enough nuclear fuel, however, for a handful of crude nuclear devices.

North Korea has accused the United States of using military drills in South Korea as a launch pad for a nuclear war and has scrapped the armistice with Washington that ended hostilities in the 1950-53 Korean War.


North Korea, which has one major ally, neighboring China, threatens the United States and its "puppet", South Korea, on an almost daily basis.

"Since the United States is about to ignite a nuclear war, we will be exercising our right to preemptive nuclear attack against the headquarters of the aggressor in order to protect our supreme interest," the North's foreign ministry spokesman said in a statement carried by the official KCNA news agency.

If NK dose launch a attack on the USA I wonder who would destroy NK first. Amrica or china. Though China has a milltary that would be a real threat to the USA, they don't want war with them(yet) since that would be killing there biggest market for there goods. NK provides nothing for china other than hardship and I am shocked they never went the root of russia and give up on them.

The Chinese military is no match/threat for American might! This isn't World War 2 where the sheer number of men the Soviets could muster propelled them to victory over Nazi Germany.
The American military might be smaller than the Chinese in terms of personnel, but is way way ahead in it's use of smart, high precision-based weaponry and military technology.

Chinas milltary is not all about numbers. They are very advance. Not at the level of USA but enough that there numbers equalse it. All so I never said deaft I said threaten.
