In my opinion Odudua was a descendant of the Ancient Nok Civilization who in turn were previously hunter gathers, before we which they were gradually evolving from the apes, in and around the areas of West Africa. It was probably so that the Yorubas were separating from the Greater Bantu Groups and evolving into their own tribe at that point.
