War Of Religious Dogmaticism by Mopoli(m): 8:56pm On Apr 03, 2013
The ethical principles, doctrines, values, code of conducts, beliefs and doctrines practices of Christendom has drastically reflected the perception and cognitional psychology of Worshippers of God both in Nigeria and accross the globe.
This single act of Religious dogmaticism has also constituted other forms of immoral and amoral vices which includes: Religious fanaticism, dehumanization, degradation, criticism, scepticism, bigotry, discrimination, devaluation, marginalization and the like. Nowadays, it is very rare to see Christians from diverse or even same denomination lives peacefully together without any Biblical or philosophical criticism or scepticism; all in the name of religious dogma or so-called doctrines. Mr "A" will tell you saying,"My Church is the best Church which adopts the sound teachings of the Gospel." Mr "B" will equally go ahead to proclaim his as the Mother of all Churches with the highest numbers of Worshippers and as such,it is the best. Then, Mr "C" will fearlessly stand his ground to pronounce his Church as the best simply because his G.O was emerged perceptually as the richest Pastor in Nigeria.
It is quite unethical and unreasonable that disunity and hatred has becomes a potent force amongs the Sons and Daughters of God instead of peace, love and unity as epitomized by Christ lifestyle and teachings. Indeed,Things Have Fall Apart in many homes, families, offices, schools, marketing centres etc, as people are being nurtured daily on diverse or contradicted values and beliefs which invariably forms the criteria of their life philosophy.
For example: wearing of trousers to Adaobi is absolutely and Biblically right but to Chioma,it is absolutely and Biblically wrong. This entails diverse notions of godlly standard of living. The question should be, who is right or wrong? Since God is not the Author of confusion.
Contemporary, the War of Religious dogmaticism has rages to the apex in Christendom. It is Observant and obvious that if one is not sharing same religious beliefs with another, he/she automatically becomes an unbeliever, a conspirator or enemy of progress. Sons kills their mother, fathers, uncles, aunts etc of starvation and penury or through other techniques simply because, they are being accused falsefully of withcraft practices by one prophet. What an abnormination!
The question is........Are we still doing the totality of God's will? Or are we skillfully deploying some selective measures on the portion that actually suits our own taste and gratification? Friends, I urge today to give a wise thought on the questions above as the answer remains between you and God.
Please say NO to Religious dogmaticism and discrimination.
ONE GOD ONE HEAVEN
THANKS!
Your Experiences and Observation are highly welcome.
