Respected Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Abubakar Gumi has sensationally asserted that Jesus Christ did not die on the cross and there was therefore no basis for Christians to celebrate Easter.

According to Gumi, Jesus was onlycomatose. Gumi made this postulation on his facebook page on a post titled 'Easter Musings' "One of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forth with came there out blood and water. And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe” that he was not dead when he was brought down from the cross. He was then only comatose.

"Therefore, the Quran here is also a perfect answer for this line of theological belief. Allah said in the Quran “”.;- but They killed Him not,nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety They killed Him not:- Nay, Allah raised Him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted In power,

Which one is it? Was he crucified? Did Allah cover their eyes while they crucified Judas instead? Did escape to India and get married? Sheikh Gumi needs to get 'their story' straight ........ or Sheikh Gumi could himself personally demonstrate to us how Jesus did not die on the Cross, all on Camera. If he goes into a coma after enduring all Jesus went through and wakes up after 3 days, I may try taking him seriously.

This Gumi must be high on Elubo, I no knw wetin concern am.

medically, he could have truly been knocked out by the stress of his calamities as described by the gospel. But if he truly died, then he never rose and if he rose, then he didn't die. the xtians are in a state of great delusion, the muslims too are not excused.
