Without tribal, ethnic, religious and all forms sentiment, in my own opinion and assessment, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi (SLS) has done beautifully well in the management of Nigeria's financial sector. standing out among many of his policies is the cashless policy. what is your view on his Nigeria's banking and financial sector management.

He has single handedly destroyed ATM propagation with his removal of 100 charge by users of other banks.

Personally, I think he has been more interested in the political sphere than the economic stability & growth of this great nation.

The operating environment is now difficult for the Banks...increasing cost, cutting revenues drastically. Example of someone playing to the gallery. The negative impacts are beginning to show everywhere.

1.This guy has brought decorum into the banking sector. The flamboyance that was the norm 4/5 years ago have drastically reduced
2. Our banks are more stable, though consolidating on soludo work
3. He has pushed for cashless society. Potentially reducing, what we spend on printing and minting
4. He has used the bank, to help fight corruption by capping the max cash deposits. Those that receive kick backs have been adversely affected
5. He scrapped the ATM charges on withdrawals. This is a lazy revenue source for our banks, exploiting customers

Overall, I rate his performance very high

Sanusi has destroyed the banking sector but I do not blame him;I blame goodluck for allowing sanusi to wreck harvock on the banking sector, destroy banking institutions, throw many families into want, poverty and pernury, and his covert attempt to impose islamic banking ideas on the entire banking sub sector of nigeria ie the scrapping of atm charges.due to atm charges removal, companies like interswitch which make it possible for customers to withdraw money from other banks atm have been paralysed, banks will not accept to pay the 100 naira atm charges themselves so they will simply cancel their contracts with interswitch;the result is that if you want to withdraw your money with first bank atm card, you can only do so at first bank atm machine, thesame applies to all other banks.banks are no longer serious with their atm because atm transactions do not make business sense to them anymore, the customers rejoicing over the scrapping of 100 naira atm charges are really ignorant and will really not find things easy with atm now, they may in no time rush to the banks and beg the banks to reintroduce the 100 atm charges.
another issue is islamic banking,it is wrong for islamic bank to be categorised as national or regional bank in a country which claims to be secular,it is very important that any religious/faith based bank whether christian or islamic be categorised as a micro finance/community bank.

Before scoring this man high, let us first imagine what would have been the fate of the naira if the #5000 policy was implemented.
