the answer is YES. people can develop such websites in Nigeria. let me give a bit of what is involved.
1. konga.com was developed with combination of scripts and programming languages to give it that complex, but organized look and feel while shopping on it.
2. konga.com is an "Mega" online store. it is not just a website. it is owned by a company and is run daily online, so its never completed and left just like a real store, it is always dressed. that is why you have the live chat there.


this kind of website is not just designed, but built, therefore it will have an ongoing cost, not just a cost for setting it up and all. it is a business that is run online. just so you have an idea of what it can cost. it will be a fortune anyway...

Konga.com runs on a ruby on rails e-commerce platform/webshop know as spree.http://spreecommerce.com.
It run on Ngix server powered by rack cache. The website template is custom-made.

I love Konga.com too. The fact that I can buy almost anything at a fair price and have it delivered to my doorstep is great and if I do not get along well with it I have 7 days to make up my mind before returning it.Best online fashion store in Nigeria as well.

You don't have to know who develop it, just choose a webdeveloper, he/she will give you that, the problem would come if your budget is N20000 or 5000 as is common among those make this kind of request.

do you need a web developer or a webmaster.these two people are different a developer codes while a master cannot even write a line of code infact i address them as web administrators? if you want something good call a developer and employ a master to build it.

i do both but i would prefer to feature as a developer than a master.
