APC Should Join Our Merger....falae by akins56(m): 2:09am On Apr 14, 2013
The National Chairman of Social Democratic
Mega Party, Chief Olu Falae, has invited the
newly formed opposition mega party, All
Progressives Congress, to join 16 other
opposition parties that he is leading in
merger talks.
APC was formed by the Action Congress of
Nigeria, Congress for Progressive Change, All
Nigeria Peoples Party, and a faction of the All
Progressives Grand Alliance.
Falae is leading the merger of 16 opposition
political parties to form another mega party.
In an interview with our correspondent, he
said, "Why can't APC join us? CPC, ANPP and
ACN are all my friends but why can't they
join my party? Why should I join them? Is it
because their ideological purity is better
than ours?"
He criticised political parties with roots in
the South-West for failing to adopt the
original ideology of the pan-Yoruba socio-
political group, Afenifere, of which he is a
leader.
Falae argued that the new party would not
be regional would gain nationwide support,
with a national agenda. He noted that many
of the 16 political parties, membership
covered the country, were not led by
Yoruba.
He said, "The Yoruba mentality of joining
others must be discarded. We are first-class
Nigerians. Former Lagos State Governor,
Bola Tinubu, who is leading ACN to join APC
is our child.
"We were their leaders and we are still their
leaders. We may not be in government today
but the ideological philosophy of Afenifere is
with us. We shall all come back to the truth."
The leader of the National Democratic
Coalition also said he would also not be part
of revival of late Chief Obafemi Awolowo's
United Party of Nigeria being proposed by
the Founder, Oodua Peoples Congress, Dr.
Frederick Fasehun.
He said, "The most logical thing is that the
UPN is not registered yet. How can I, a leader
of a registered political party that has
contested election, abandon my party and
followers to join a group that is not yet
registered? That will be ridiculous; it should
be the other way round."
The PUNCH had last Monday reported that
the National Chairman, Advanced Congress
of Democrats, one of the merging parties,
Mr. Yusuf Yakub, had confirmed the new
merger, saying, "There were so many
opposition political parties that attended the
meeting; I assure you something good will
come out of it. The alliance will be a third
alternative to Nigerians."

PDP led by the retardeen is doing everything to thwart progress in the SW but even OBJ failed, who dash retardeen banana? Giving money to politicians and stooges to cause problems will not mean the generality of the SWesterners don't see through the BS. Maybe the retardeen and his goons think they are dealing with the calibre of people who would award a Ph. D to a dumbass while he purportedly was Deputy Governor. As Governor, there is nothing to point to in Bayelsa with one of the highest national allocations, one of the smallest populations and national disaster as president.

Are some folks programmed to mention GEJ in all their comments.

Why can't we brainstorm over an issue, the intent and purpose without invoking the unnecessary antiGEJ/PDP rants.

Nigerian Political differences are all about personal/sectional interest of the Oligarchs, who neither have ideology nor sacrifice to make for the good of the society rather are fighting over politics of inclusion and exclusion.
