Now, these whole delay and POP unism is now making sense. 2014 marks 100years of Nigeria's amalgamation of the northern and the southern protectorate... (1914) so the Armed forces is preparing a Grand style passing out parade.... Just Speculating smiley

prestige. You don't love the military wrk half compared to me. All my life military (frm birth to skuling up till date). Recently I just realised moni can give u beta prestige and a lot of freedom compared to d military so my mentality is changing. If it comes, I will go but not a do or die affair. Atleast the military assurance still cover me cause no baggar can intimidate me.

As a child, my mum came back wit pictures frm my uncle's wedding who was a lieutinant commander at d time. I loved d pics since himself and his two little grooms wore d uniform. I tld my mum, I'll lik to wear d uniform oneday. She said she thinks wat I want to say is, I'll like to marry a Naval officer, I said no, I want to be one myself. She said I shld concerntrate on my books as she thinks d job is mre for men dan ladies. Since den, evrytym I saw a NN officer, I secretly wished to be one. So I finished uni, gt a job and was fired within 1month of working. My boss said I insurbordinated her (lies). And witout any previous record, I was fired desame day. It hurt badly cos I didn't do anytyn to d girl! 2days after, I gt job alert and among dem was NN application. It was nt d first tym I was seeing it bt dis tym I summoned courage, called my parents and tld dem I was going to apply. Dey tot it was kul and I applied.
Here is hw I classify my reasons and advantages of applying, job security, power (respect) and the money.

benefit depends on the individual. For me, the benefit of wanting to join the military are 1. I have always wanted the military since birth. My dad rtd army officer, went to military schools frm primary to higher institution 2.prestige- as an officer, u have respect anywr u enter once ur on dat uniform and everybdi want to be arund u 3.job security- you are sure they won't just wake up one morning and send you away.
But there are pple that are goin in cause of the pay. The military is the highest paying job they can get. Free accomodation, no nepa or water bill wahala etc.
