I am Williams by name a 300 level student of Delta state university abraka, department of economics...i also followed dis portal wen i was seeking admission into unilorin,delsu and yabatech..i got series of info from d portal and students ahead in 2010. I just came online recently and saw so many post by series of individuals who try to convince and at d same time confuse prospective students..i just want to use dis medium to advice and tell prospective delsu students dat d institution accepts both first and second choice from both indigen and none indigens.if u tink just becos u are an indigine and u can relax, sorry is ur name(i know of a gal dat got 250 in utme last year and also got 51 in putme she applied for sociology and she was not given and she was an indigine o). ur admission solely depends on ur post utme and utme scores(based on merit list). u can post watever question or probs on d thread and if i have an idea about it i would update u..
From time to time, i would be coming online to give updates on d portal.

Delsu pume for science is very very very very difficult...chai..i cannot even score upto 60..

d post ume has 3 parts wic are 25 questions in english, 25 frm aptitude test nd 50 for general paper this general paper is wat u did in ur jamb plus few other subjects related to it like in science(medicine) it includes maths. Amngs dis 3 sections d most difficult is d aptitude part so i advice students to study english very wel because once u do wel in english nd general paper u av made it dats abt 75% delsu knws no 1 cn score 100% so it is wise u cncentrate on those 75 then add smtin 4rm d aptitude part b4 u c ur dn blow. In my time i only ansad 65 ques i didnt touch aptitude at al bt i scored wat gave me admisn out of dat. It workd 4 me i dnt knw if it would work 4 u shal o bt al d same it is wise u cncentrate on a tin dan focus on everytin nd loose them. Success in advance

u cn do beta in ur english because it is easier then in ur general paper just try nd score if nt all bt av 46 out of 50 4 d aptitude test just do ur best, i trust delsu u wnt av that enough time to tink those tins during ur exams thou u stil cn do smtin sha bt try nd cncentrate ur effort dnt get distractd by tins u dnt knw. I never said utme is irrelevant . what I mean by my comment is that, with 200 as Jamb score a delsu aspirant still has a gud chance of getting the admission ( even in professional courses) if he/she does well in the putme. As for the issue of 2nd choice, its a bad deal. I ws a victim myself. the year I took delsu 2nd choice I scored 258 Jamb, 48 utme, aggregate 56 yet no admission although I beat the cut-off n am an indigen.I applied 4 pharmacy the yr. Thank Jehovah today am in school.

bro gud monin, i cnt real tell o bt i tink lectures would start 3rd because lecture time table is out already dats was hw dy did bms wen we resumed early tis yr o lecture held 3rd thou there wasnt a time table yet bt nw timetable came out wen exams was going on i strngly believe if it dnt start serious by 3rd am sure b4 secnd week it would be serious
