But thou hast crushed me upon thy valleys

My dearest Barcelona

This poem is written fom a slave or prisoner prepective and it was set in the 15th,16th...century,I'm sure is not this century.

I had Louis xiv when I was writing. A king who ruled France and Navarre in the 17-18 century but d slavery perspective is nt all dat accepted. I tink u shuld knw what and where is versailles.

I disagree with you that it was written from a king perspective. Why would a king walk from barcelona to varseilles? Are there no horses? Why does he have fond memory of barcelona? Doesn't he have an entourage?
