Boko Haram Controls 23 OF 27 Lgas In Borno - Senator Zanna Speaks by OmoPastor(m): 7:50am On May 13, 2013
Senator Khalifa Ahmed Zanna, the Senator representing Borno Central Senatorial Zone, who was arrested and questioned after a high profile Boko Haram commander was arrested in his house has in an interview earlier today astonished Nigerians when he said that “23/24 local governments of the 27 in Borno state are under the effective control of Boko Haram.”

Zanna also revealed more shocking revelations saying “Numerous young men all around Borno State are joining boko haram by the day.”

Senator Zanna talked about the proposed amnesty for the sect despite their recent murderous activities. He said “There must be a will by the government for the amnesty to work”.

Although he also said “I have never advocated for amnesty. My own solution is to dialogue with the people and rehabilitate the Borno community.”

Is he saying we now have a Boko-Haram state

And why is he complaining if truly a BH commander was arrested in his house, instead he should ask his colleagues in NASS to effect a change of name and he can contest for governorship position too and the retinue of BH youths will help his easy win.

Unrepentant Idiots that will rather politicise issues and play to the galley than educate their teeming almajiri youths.

You guys really need to watch the interview. Senator Zanna divulged a lot of interesting and shocking facts(?) about the BH situation. For instance, that President Jonathan has never called him or any of the other two serving senators from Borno state to ask for advice concerning BH (Keep in mind that Khalifa Zanna is a serving senator under the PDP.) Also shocking was when he said that there are currently over 2,000 Boko Haram members in an area 45km from Maiduguri, alleging that the security forces are aware of this but lack the will to do anything about it.

He also claimed that Shuaibu Bama, the alleged Boko Haram commander was not arrested at his house but was arrested at a residence belonging to Ali Modu Sheriff, the former governor of the state. However, elsewhere Khalifa Zanna has admitted that Shuaibu is a drug addict and the son of his sister.
