So I got this project from my HOD today to design a web forum from scratch. Prototype to be submitted next wednessday......I only know rudimentary HTML5 and CSS3........DAFUQ  ?Anyhooo, I collected PHP tutorial videos from a final-year guy (I'm in first year), and I'm gonna tackle it tonight. Got a loaf of bread and 5 cans of coca cola beside me........ Gonna be documenting my progress over the next week here..... WISH ME LUCK!!!! |

In one night I dont even think you can finish JavaScript tuts in a night. Except if your just learning the basics in PHP or u might have had past experiences in PHP |

I'm a very blunt and straight forward person, and i'm saying no you can't. Php is deep, and building a forum from the scratch is not a joke and remember you need some sql knowlegde too. 1 Like 1 Share |

Don't bother rushing yourself, you can't learn the rudiments of PHP in one night, unless you are a Java Developer then i'd say yeah. just take your time or outsource remember its not about coding but dealing with issues stems from experience. coding PHP on windows is easy till you move to linux or live and encounter strange errors especially those relating to Output Buffering,but all the same i wish you all the best |

I don't think so to learn PHP in one night only, how can you gain knowledge about PHP frameworks and other tools, I really can't believe it. At least one week is necessary to get total knowledge about PHP if you know about basic and fundamentals. |

Seriously? What's the update OP? I clearly don't see how that's gonna be possible though. I have good basic PHP knowledge and I dnt even think I can do all that in a night. Just to add pls any good php developer in the house? I self thought myself html, css, jquery and now php but I see the need to have a chat with a guru so I can be rest assured I am on the right track. if you dnt want to drop your contacts an email to info@wasconet.com will be great |
