Why Do Mechanics Always Advise Direct Radiator Wiring With Bad Thermostats? by eaglechild: 11:03am On May 18, 2013
I've noticed that once a car thermostat goes bad, mechanics will advise that the car radiator be rewired so that the cooling fans are always blowing once the car is on irrespective of the temperature.
This adds to the car noise which is very irritating.
Is there any reason thermostats cannot be fixed?

they dont how the engines operating especially its operating temperature thats is meant to give the best combustion therefore saving your fuel

thermostats dont get fixed but a simple replacement does the trick and also are easy to test with hot water

they are just ignorant!...n such ignorance is really really dangerous....

same goes for their usual advice to car owners to disregard the check engine light.....

miming the mechanic - oga na so American spec cars dey be, no mind the light, ur car/engine is sound n it answers u when u touch....no worry urself.................clowns!

at the end of the day, its the duty of the car owner to ac quaint himself with knowledge of how his car engine/system works so he wont be at the mercy of the avg mechanic...some random dude who cudnt pass elementary 6..so he decided to learn mechanic...well most of them shaa...not all
