The people of Ahiara diocese in mbaise, imo state rejected the appointment of monsignor Ebere Peter Okpalaeke from Anambra state as bishop-elect of the diocese by the Pope, demanding instead that the new Bishop must come from Mbaise Nation, this has left me confused about the universality of the church according to my cacthesism teachings. Can someone help out, is the protest justified?.

NO Because we have UZOUKWU as the Bishop of Mina, AKUBEZE as the Archishop of BENIN, OKOJIE as one time Archbishop of Lagos, KAYGAMA as the Archbishop of Jos, ONAYIKAN as Archbishop of Abuja, OKOLO as Nuncio to Central African Republic and finaly, Pope Francis As the BISHOP OF ROME. These people are not from the States, where they are serving as SHEPERDS to the flock of CHRIST.
