@OP, correction on Delta State. D name was derived 4rm its topography (a delta is a point where rrivers &oceans split or pour into). D slogan, 'The Big Heart' is derived 4rm d shape of d state (it shaped like a big heart), of course aside d fact dat Deltans are naturally big-hearted &pacesetters across all sectors - sports, economy, developmnt, Stephen Keshi, Okocha, Jim Ovia, Tony Elumelu, Ngozi Okonjo Iwela, Atuche, Oruma, Blessing Okagbare etc. A Deltan is always first among equals, no one beats them. Plus coz its a mini-Nigeria wit about five ethnic groups, d average Deltan has a more cosmopolitan, detribalised &progressive outlook than d average Nigerians. Dont also forget wen it comes to swag (Warri is d home of pure pidgin),
Everyone gives it to DELTA, THE PERPETUAL CHAMPIONS OF THE NATIONAL SPORTS FESTIVAL. Bottomline: A DELTAN IS A BORN CHAMPION!

So Borno is the home of peace? What an irony!

Just like many people who are called Peace are often the opposite of their names

But i'll like to correct the meaning of Akwa Ibom. The name
actually means great God. Akwa-great, abasi ibom-God. Take note!
