Well this is a perfect example of why things will never change - people always tackle problems with tunnel vision.

Instead of teaching both genders what is right and wrong, the girls are targeted because they're the ones left holding the baby.

The same logic is placed towards rape when girls are told they dress in a provocative way - wives who get beaten are thought to have deserved it/caused it, whatever.

It's quite a sexist world we're living in.

oh hell no. none of ya can judge me unless you've been in my shoes. the father of my children is not my husband but that doesnt mean that he isnt there for my kids. yes i am in college and i do have a good job. i make good money and i have good benefits unlike other teenage parents. it is in no way a struggle for me taking care of my kids. the father of my children has been there from day 1. who said children who grow up in single parent homes are more loose? you has gots to be out of your mind. that is so not true. depending on the situation it is sometimes the other way around. and i am proud to say that i have kids. that is nothing i should be ashamed about. i still got my same dreams and hopes that i'm going to accomplish. god blessed me with kids and i dont regret ever having them. i take care of my responsibilities!!!!!!!! if u got some slick shit to say keep your mouth shut

God forbids !!!

You made a mistake having them @ the wrong time

Now , the more you start to accept your mistakes

The better

How is it the wrong time that I had my children? You tell me? Like for real what makes you think that I wasn't ready?

If you was ready

then you would be ready to accept that the father is your husband

Re: Nigerians And Teen Pregnancy by dachosen1(f): 4:17pm On May 18, 2006
do you know the definition of husband?

husband- man of married pair.

We are not married therefore he isn't my husband. So you mean to tell me if you impregnated a girl, she is automatically your wife? Even if you don't or do have feelings for her.

I see you a responsible woman

I don;t wanna argue with you

cos I would cause another thing here tryna prove a point to you

Just lemme advise you on this

The kids would come to you 1 day asking for daddy and start to question you on why daddy aint living with them

That is when you will know what's up

I aint saying nothing more cos I don;t want it to be like I am victimising you

If you want me to talk

Say it on here that I have been given permission to say ma mind to you while you say yours to me (also state if ( or if not ) you want external contributions)

cool

What makes you think that my children don't see there daddy or the fact that me and him don't live together. The only point I was tryin to bring up was the simple fact that we are not married yet people insist that we are. Nobody said nothing bout my kids not seeign there father.

Pregnancy is not an excuse for marriage.

The man does not become a father, because he got someone pregnant.

If the man cannot be a good father, don't marry him.
Your children deserve the best.

Fatherhood is not American Football. grin

Thank you.

Milllions of American men love American Football and the NBA than their children.
They prefer to watch the games than even pay attention to their children.

If the guy who is responsible for the birth of your children does not love you and your children, please don't marry him.

I hope I am well understood now by those who were asking questions?
Re: Nigerians And Teen Pregnancy by chinani(f): 6:29pm On May 25, 2006
Yes Orikinla. I understand now. I agree with you. Thank you.
