Tinubu to address British House of Commons Monday

Former Lagos State Governor and a national leader of the just formed opposition mega-party, All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, will on Monday deliver the keynote address at a conference at the British House of Commons.
The conference, with the theme: National Development and the People, will be hosted by a senior member of the British Parliament, Mr David Lammy MP. He will be joined by Mr Ivan Lewis MP, Shadow Secretary for International Development; Mr Julius Maada Bio, Sierra Leonean former Head of State, as well as other top politicians from various parties in British political circle.

They will share thoughts and deliberate on salient issues of national development as they concern Nigeria, Africa and the United Kingdom (UK).
A statement yesterday by Mr Sunday Dare of Tinubu Media Office, Lagos, said African Partnership Development, the UK body behind the convocation of the conference, has said Asiwaju Tinubu was chosen as the keynote speaker, with other African leaders and top Members of British Parliament (MPs), “to stimulate proactive actions and deepen the understanding of the international community and the Diaspora public on the challenges of national development against progressive leadership in Africa from the perspective of Nigeria, the most populous black nation”.

The statement added: “The organisers have been the facilitator of several high-powered deliberations focusing on the socio-economic and political progress of Africa, which have played host to a number of notable economic players and political figures in Africa and the UK, offering their views on solving some of the issues undermining progress in their respective countries.”

Quoting a statement from the organisers, Dare said: “The surge in the number of people with impressive credentials, from different diplomatic circles in the UK, British and African entrepreneurs, investors and Nigerian Professionals in Europe, who have signified interest to participate at the event since the confirmation of the former Lagos State governor as the lead discussant for the conference is a clear indication that there will be quality debates and viable outcomes for the future of Africa, and Nigeria in particular.”

The conference organiser, Tunde Alabi, said: “We are very happy at the support we have received from everybody both from the UK and Africa since the announcement of the conference. We are committed to ensuring that every Nigerian in or outside the country, has access to quality life, education, quality and available healthcare delivery service and social equality. We are focused on continuously creating series of engagements that will promote good government and sustainable growth without any political affiliation and or statements.”

The conference is expected to produce reports that will be part of the discourse for future Diaspora engagement, African/Nigeria-UK Economic and business partnership and growth.

To think that was the headline on a national daily speaks volumes as to the length these crooks would go to deceive the public. Once a gangster always a gangster.

What else do you expect from a print media owned by the rogue himself.

Soon they will arrange a cross of Africa for the drug dealer to carry. One of these days, they will reveal Tinubu true identity and find out he is a missing felon.

The news says exactly what you are all hyperventilating to say, no more, no less. It doesn't say he is addressing Parliament so what's the quarrel about?

What's the usual silly fuss about and does it matter who or where?

Bottom line=

1. There is a conference inside the house of commons with real members of the house of commons and British cabinet members. The same hous of commons where the representatives of the people of Britain deliberate.

2. The host is a leading member of the house of commons

3. Tinubu was invited to speak at the conference inside the house of commons

4. Other African leaders are going to be at the same conference, but they picked a Nigerian to give the keynote address.

You people get carried away with your silliness sometimes...

What's the big deal about this news that's making some folks foam in the mouth like rabid animals??

Why do these people have no single atom of self-esteem??

How do we help them cope with this chronic plague of inferiority complex??

Such hateful ones think like unreasoning animals, meant only to be caught and destroyed. These ones are the bane of our development as a nation. Petty and hateful folks who see nothing good in anything not from their "neck of the wood"....

Shame on all such ones!!!

The foreign politician (Blair, Zuma, Merkel, Clinton, Cameron or Obama for example) know that Nigerian politicians are all crooks. He/she will therefore find the constant noise of some, especially because they are not from Tinubu's own region, to be hypocritical and ethno-centric given what Nigeria is.

In Tinubu, and as unemotional neutral folks not cursed with the ethnic hatred that blight the opinion of most Nigerians , they see a Politician trying to practise, with all going on around him, developmental politics along the lines they all subscribe to as sacrosanct i.e round pegs in round polls aiding the development of meritocracy.

Not very difficult then to see why Tinubu is respected outside Nigeria even if it is mainly one region of the Country constantly vilifying the man when they would be better served roundign on their woeful leaders with similar venom.

A foreign observer can only see hypocrisy because he knows most of our leaders are lazy crooks yet he notes that Tinubu, in the jungle that is Nigeria, has rid his region of very poor and mediocre goons to replace them with talented leaders.

Crystal clear also that Tinubu supports the sort of leaders respected around the world as being capable of turning Nigeria around if given a chance like Ribadu, Utomi et al. Non-South Westerner can foam at the mouth and call Tinubu names all they want but dispassionate non-Nigerians only see a man who is one of the best and most progressively useful Politicians Nigeria has today all things factored in by honest and unbiased minds.

dulaman: I thought they said he's wanted abroad?

Another lie from those who want others beyond the shores of Nigeria to join them in their senseless hatred of Tinubu. When a foreign politician, able to view Nigeria dispassionately for what she is, looks at Nigeria today, with all the problems all regions are having from sabre-rattling for power to insecurity and even the consideration of where the most collective innovative leadership is to be found, it is crystal clear how he/she can quickly conclude Tinubu is a progressive politician to be respected and partnered with.

Tinubu will continue to be feted by foreign politicians because those folks can dispassionately see the reality of Nigeria to note he is overall a force for good, progress and positive politics. Haters of the man can take their case to any International Court they want but no Country of the world will oblige their desire to see Tinubu banned from entering said Nation - especially given the State of Nigeria today. They are not sentimental m0r0ns and will appreciate Tinubu to be one of the sane politicians to be kept close in a Country currently displaying a lot of 'madness'.

WoolyWooly is a Nigerian idi.ot. No, his case is even worse - he's a lunatic that 'has entered the market'.

And like every lunatic, his sayings and deeds are abnormal and contrary to those of normal people. Yet he thinks he's normal. Of course, he thinks the other people who are normal are the abnormal ones.

May God help wooly-haired WoolyWooly whose worrisome wooly-mindedness is getting worse.
