A new version of one of the two most popular soccer game titles in the world, PES 2014 has been announced. The 2014 version will be powered by an adapted version of Kojima Productions’ Fox Engine and is ”the most comprehensive advance for the PES range since its inception”, according to Konami, the publisher. PES failed this generation of console(PS3/360) because of their late adoption with the advanced hardware. I can remember that PES 2006 to 2008 looked like PS2 games while Fifa already adopted Next gen graphics then.

From the latest News PES 2014 is not coming to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo WiiU, and PSvita. This simply means that PES is already planning to loss and play catch up again to Fifa next gen(PS4/Xbox). The Fifa team has already started working on PS4 and has developed a new engine called (Iginite Engine) which will be used on PS4 and Xbox. Before Pes moves in to PS4, Fifa would have been far ahead with the experience they've gathered already from Fifa 14. And also PES would hav lost most of their market share to Fifa on PS4 because since no PES 2014 on PS4 even the PES fans won't have any other choice but to immerse them self into Fifa.

The new Fox engine PES is using is very capable of Next Gen but it is laziness and stupidity that is killing the PES team. It surprising that this year again no plan of PES on PS vita....
